Were it not for the leftward-leaning news media, Democrats would have a much tougher time getting their agenda out. This is a point which journalists now and then will admit. Another such admission was made earlier today by NBC anchor Brian Williams who said the following:
I interviewed Lee Cowan, our reporter who covers Obama, while we were out yesterday and posted the interview on the web. Lee says it's hard to stay objective covering this guy. Courageous for Lee to say, to be honest.

The e-mail flood started out we caught you guys, we never did trust you. That kind of thing. I think it is a very interesting dynamic. I saw middle-aged women just throw their arms around Barack Obama, kiss him hard on the cheek and say, you know, I'm with you, good luck. And I think he feels it, too.
Credit should be given to both Cowan and Williams for not being afraid to admit what anyone who watches TV hasn't already noticed. Still, it makes you wonder what the point of such candor is. Will NBC work to counteract that bias or is this just a statement of fact?

Update 17:34. Bill and Hillary Clinton must be beside themselves at the media's abrupt shift toward Obama. Bill gave a glimpse of this anger at a campaign stop today in New Hampshire:
"It is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, enumerating the years, and never got asked one time, not once, 'Well, how could you say that when you said in 2004 you didn't know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war," Clinton said at a campaign stop in Hanover, New Hampshire.
"And you took that speech you're now running on off your Web site in 2004. And there's no difference in your voting record and Hillary's ever since."
He added, "Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I've ever seen."
