The brutal truth is that Obama sat in the church for 20 years and soaked up these sermons, applauding, laughing, and agreeing. Wright has always preached this way. Moss has always preached this way. The congregation has always reacted to these sermons with wild enthusiasm. Obama was a participant in this milieu for 20 years. Obama is therefore blatantly lying to us when he says he didn't know that this was what Trinity United was all about.

Had Obama stood by his biography and his church then, whether I agreed with the church or not, I would see a man with integrity. I may not support Obama, but at least I would have in front of me a man who stands on principle. But he didn't do that. He turned his back on his church of two decades - he turned his back on the church that brought him to Christianity, that married him, that baptized his children, that found for him his very identity. This despicable act exposes a profound character defect in the man. He is not an honorable man. Obama is the rankest kind of politician, one who will say and do anything to get elected.
